Refund Policy

At SpeakBright, we are committed to providing high-quality educational services and ensuring customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and cancellations are processed for our courses and services.
1. General Refund Principles
We understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your enrollment. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our students and our organization while allowing us to maintain the quality of our educational services.
Important: All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] or through our website contact form. Verbal requests or telephone cancellations will not be processed.
2. Course Cancellation and Refund Schedule
The refund amount depends on when you cancel relative to the course start date:

3. Consultation Services
3.1 Individual Consultations
For individual consultation sessions:
- Cancellation more than 48 hours before scheduled time: Full refund or free rescheduling
- Cancellation 24-48 hours before scheduled time: 50% refund or rescheduling with £25 fee
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before scheduled time: No refund; rescheduling subject to £50 fee
- No-show: No refund or rescheduling available
3.2 Consultation Packages
If you have purchased a package of multiple consultations:
- Refunds are prorated based on the number of sessions completed
- Package discounts will be deducted from refund amounts
- At least 48 hours notice required for cancellation of individual sessions within a package
4. Non-Refundable Services
The following services and fees are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Registration and administrative fees
- Course materials that have been downloaded or accessed
- Completed consultation sessions
- Promotional or discounted courses specifically marked as "non-refundable"
- Gift certificates and promotional codes
- Special workshop or seminar events
5. Course Transfers
If you cannot attend your enrolled course, you may request a transfer to another session subject to the following conditions:
- One-time transfer: Free if requested at least 7 days before course start
- Additional transfers: £50 administrative fee per transfer
- Transfers requested less than 7 days before course start: £75 fee
- Transfers are subject to availability in the requested course session
- No transfers permitted once a course has begun
- Course transfers must be completed within 12 months of original enrollment
6. Course Cancellation by SpeakBright
In the event that SpeakBright must cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or unforeseen circumstances:
- You will be notified as soon as possible
- You will receive a full 100% refund of all fees paid, including registration fees
- Alternatively, you may choose to transfer to another available course at no additional charge
- We will provide at least 7 days notice when possible, though emergency cancellations may occur with less notice
Important: SpeakBright is not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred, such as travel expenses, accommodation, or lost wages.
7. Dissatisfaction with Course Content
If you are dissatisfied with the course quality or content:
- Contact us within 7 days of the first course session
- Provide specific details about your concerns
- We will work with you to address issues through additional support, alternative instruction, or course transfer
- If resolution cannot be reached, a partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- No refunds will be provided for completed courses unless there was a significant failure in service delivery
8. Medical or Emergency Circumstances
We understand that unexpected medical emergencies or personal circumstances may arise. In such cases:
- Contact us immediately with documentation (medical certificate, etc.)
- We will review requests for refunds or transfers on a case-by-case basis
- Consideration will be given to the severity of circumstances and timing
- Course transfer to a future date is typically preferred over refund
- Documentation must be provided within 14 days of the event
9. Refund Processing
9.1 Request Procedure
To request a refund:
- Submit a written refund request to [email protected]
- Include your full name, enrollment details, and reason for refund
- Provide any supporting documentation (if applicable)
- We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days
9.2 Processing Time
- Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Credit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
- Bank transfer refunds may take 3-7 business days
9.3 Currency and Fees
Refunds are processed in British Pounds (GBP). If you paid in a different currency:
- The refund will be converted at the current exchange rate
- Currency conversion fees charged by your bank are your responsibility
- Transaction fees charged by payment processors are non-refundable
10. Payment Plan Refunds
If you are on a payment plan and request cancellation:
- All outstanding payments become immediately due
- Refund is calculated based on payments already made
- Standard refund schedule applies to the total course fee
- Payment plan administrative fees are non-refundable
11. Group Enrollments
For corporate or group bookings:
- Standard refund policy applies unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Individual participants may be substituted at no charge with 48 hours notice
- Group discounts may be adjusted if enrollment numbers change
- Special terms for group bookings will be outlined in separate agreements
12. Online Course Access
For courses with online materials or recorded content:
- Once you have accessed or downloaded materials, refunds may be limited
- Partial refunds may be available if less than 25% of content has been accessed
- No refunds available if more than 50% of content has been accessed
- Access logs and download records will be used to determine eligibility
13. Promotional Offers and Discounts
If you enrolled using a promotional discount or coupon:
- Refunds are calculated based on the discounted price you paid
- Promotional benefits cannot be transferred to other courses
- Limited-time offers are subject to specific refund terms stated at time of purchase
14. Disputes and Appeals
If your refund request is denied and you wish to appeal:
- Submit a written appeal within 14 days of the denial
- Provide additional documentation or explanation
- Appeals will be reviewed by senior management
- Final decisions will be communicated within 14 business days
- Decisions made after appeal are final
15. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your credit card company or bank:
- Your access to all services will be immediately suspended
- We will provide documentation to your financial institution showing our refund policy
- Chargeback fees will be added to any outstanding balance
- Future enrollments may be restricted

SpeakBright reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. The refund policy in effect at the time of your enrollment will apply to your transaction.
